Sembrar Nursery
Your Yard Grows the Nature we Need
About Us
Sembrar is a bilingual, community-driven environmental enterprise dedicated to creating healthier, greener, and more resilient communities throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. We believe that meaningful environmental change begins with local action, bringing neighbors together to restore ecosystems, expand urban tree canopy, and inspire environmental stewardship.
Our mission is to connect people with opportunities to improve the places they call home. Through community-led programs, educational initiatives, and environmental restoration projects, we work to make clean air, healthy waterways, and thriving green spaces accessible to everyone.
Tree Donation Program
Every year, healthy native trees sprout naturally in residential yards and are often removed and discarded.
Through our Tree Donation Program, we rescue these volunteer trees, nurture them in our community nursery, and replant them in neighborhoods where they can provide shade, improve air quality, reduce stormwater runoff, and support local wildlife.
If you have an unwanted native tree on your property, we'll help give it a new home.
